In the run up to Father’s Day this Sunday, Christian Communication Canada holds special family banquet as an opportunity to share gospel with loving fathers.

Around 400 people from different churches joined the banquet on Wednesday as famous Hong Kong singer Peng Ka-Lai was invited as guest speaker. Peng shared with the audience how she has come to Christ and the relationship with her father. Choir from Vancouver Chinese Christian Short-Term Mission Training Centre has also presented some hymns.

Peng quitted school to start her career as a singer in the 90’s when she was still very young. Although the beginning stage of her career was very smooth and bright, the success has not brought her comfort, rather she was deeply depressed because of the increasing pressure. She finally decided to end the contract with her company, and became a music teacher instead.

Three years ago, Peng was robbed on her way home and her head was seriously injured. Some Christian artists offered her great concern during her recovery. The incident has become a turning point for her life as she realized the preciousness of life and started to cherish people around her. She joined a church and was baptized two months ago in Canada.

"I wish I can become a great testimony for the Lord and guide many people to Christ," Peng said.
