Dr. Doris Brougham Encourages Belhaven College Graduates to Make a Difference!

At the invitation of Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi, ORTV founder and CEO Dr. Doris Brougham spoke at their May 9, 2009 commencement. She encouraged students through her speech, “Making a Difference,” to give their all to God so that He can use their lives to make a positive difference in this world.

Using the three Bs, be ready, be bold and believe, Doris encouraged students to be ready for change by preparing for opportunities, be bold to accept challenges and believe that that God keeps all His promises. Using examples and testimonies from her more than 60 years of missionary service in Asia, Belhaven faculty and students were touched by how Doris has been able to make an impact in the fields of media, music and English education around the world through her obedience to God.

Dr. Roger Parrott, Belhaven College's President, presented an honorary doctorate to Doris to show to express their appreciation and respect for her. This is Doris' fourth honorary doctorate. ORTV and Belhaven College plan to work closer together in the future.
