The head of the largest Chinese Christian network encouraged the ministers of Christ with a Bible verse from the Book of Isaiah on Jan. 4, the very first working day of 2010.

Stationed in Hong Kong, Rev. Morley Lee, secretary general of Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism, quoted Isaiah 43:19, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland” and explicated the passage’s meaning to fellow co-workers, according to the ministry’s website.

In this New Year, there will be continuous efforts to push and to serve the numerous mission ministries, involving many complicated and difficult tasks, he wrote in the statement, however, he exhorted all to never forget that God himself is leading and that He wants everyone to experience more of His grace of making pathways in the desert and opening up streams in the wastelands.

The way means direction, streams mean providing, said Lee in Chinese, although the overall environment is poor, difficulties still remain, every colleagues must follow God’s instructed directions and move and enjoy the joy that comes from God’s providing in the midst of our services.
