Since the Morakot 88 flood disaster and current economic downturn, many Taiwanese have come to faith in Christ.

This past Christmas, Taiwan Bread of Life Church broke the record of baptizing a thousand people at an indoor swimming pool, which drew the attention of Taipei city mayor and the mainstream medias. The youngest participant was a 10-year-old girl, and oldest was 89-year-old lady.

Bread of Life Church Senior Pastor Rev. Nathanael Chow said that the thousand people baptism is God’s prophecy for the harvest that Taiwan’s churches will reap. In the next two years, they will hold a ten-thousand people baptism ceremony, he said.

The participants of the baptism ceremony traveled from the 47 branches of Bread of Life Churches located throughout Taiwan to Taipei. Bread of Life Church has around 80 branches throughout Taiwan and over 200 branches around the world.
