HONG KONG - The annual Hong Kong Bible-Study conference attracted a total of 108,000 participants and 2,457 decisions this year.

With the theme “Glorious Journey”, the 82nd Annual Hong Kong Bible-Study was held from August 1st to 10th at the Kowloon City Baptist Church; separate lectures were given in three intervals each day – morning, afternoon, and night.

Chinese Christians around the world tuned in to the live broadcast stations in 21 locations in Hong Kong, 11 stations overseas, including Hong Kong, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Macau. The estimated costs for the ten-day conference and for the yearly administration fees added up to about $1,800,000 HKD.

Dr. Albert Ting, principle of Singapore Bible College and one of the three Bible-study lecturers for this year’s conference, expressed his joy in seeing the number of this year’s participants and their thirst and passion for the word of God.

He emphasized the importance of putting the word into practice after listening to the messages. Christians should mutually encourage and remind one another back at their respective churches to apply God’s word in their lives, he said, which is the greatest meaning for the Bible-studies.
