Kate Middleton and Prince William to name their baby Philip, if it's a body, in honor of William's grandfather as the due date arrives in mid-July.

While the royal couple already has a shortlist of baby names for both boys and girls. “The name Philip is in the frame for a boy. It will certainly have it somewhere in his name,” a royal insider told the Daily Star, adding Prince William would make the final decision, if it's a boy.

This decision was reportedly made to honor Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, as William's full name is Prince William Arthur Philip, and his father is Charles Philip Arthur George, a source told the Daily Star.

“It is popular with them at the moment and could even be the first name as William is very fond of his grandfather,” the source said.

Earlier reports said If it’s a girl, possible names include Elizabeth, along with Diana and Carole as middle names to honor both Will and Kate’s mothers, according to Hollywood Life.
