Paul Karmiryan and Comfort Fedoke danced to Tedashii’s “Dum Dum” featuring Lecrae on Tuesday night’s “So You Think You Can Dance” episode. The Christian rappers are committed to ministry through music, mixing catchy beats with Christ-exalting lyrics.

After coming to know Christ while in college, Tedashii had originally planned to do college ministry; however, after rooming with Christian rappers Lecrae and Sho Baraka at the University of North Texas, the three formed a hip-hop group. Eager to teach others about the Lord and to give Him glory through their music, Tedashii and Lecrae have made several hip-hop albums since then. The lyrics to “Dum Dum” read, “No gimmicks; Spirit in my lyrics. Know when people hear it they gon' love or they gon' fear it … I know this blow ya mind, and I ain't blowin pine. Not talkin' women lookin' skimpy every otha' line … Life in Christ got me finished like I crossed the line.”

In a successful attempt to show his versatility, Latino ballroom dancer Paul Karmiryan followed Fedoke’s choreography to “Dum Dum” and received much acclaim for his efforts. With more than 3.5 million viewers of the Season Ten episode, “So You Think You Can Dance” was the most watched television show in the United States on Tuesday. Lecrae joked in a tweet that evening, “Thanks to @DANCEonFOX and @ComfortFedoke for not only using our music, but for spelling me & @Tedashii names right!”
