World Series 2013 Game 5 between the Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals will begin Monday at 5:07 p.m. PT or 8:07 p.m. ET on October 28, 2013. It is the third consecutive game played at Busch Stadium, home of the Cardinals, in Missouri, and the fifth of seven consecutive games of the World Series championship until October 31st. Boston Red Sox vs. St. Louis Cardinals World Series Game 4 Recap and 5 Preview

In Game 4, the Boston Red Sox entered the ninth inning of Sunday night's World Series with a 4-2 lead over the Cardinals. Just before Cardinals' all-star Carlos Beltran got to bat, Koji Uehara threw to first base Mike Napoli, who then pickoff Cardinal's Kolten Wong.  The Red Sox won Game 4, tying the series 2-2.

In Game 5, The pitching matchup in Game 5 is the same as in Game 1, when Red Sox starter Jon Lester dominated the Cardinals but Cardinals' Adam Wainwright was hit hard in Boston's Fenway Park.

Wainwright said in a press conference before Game 4 that although he don't know why he didn't deliver in Game 1, he believes he has made lots of "good adjustments to be ready for this next game to throw some quality pitches."

Meanwhile, Jon Lester was 7-1 with a 3.08 ERA in Fenway and was 8-7 with a 4.1 ERA on the road. In three postseason starts in Fenway, he has a 1.25 ERA. Can Lester dominate the Red Sox again as he had done in Game 1?

The Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox have been the two best teams of the 21st century, and they enter the World Series having tied for the best regular-season records in both of their respective National League (NL) and American League (AL) in Major League Baseball. The last time this happened was when the Yankees and Braves met in 1999.

With either team winning the 2013 World Series championship, they will have a combined win of five of the last 10 championships.
