Taiwanese Gospel singer Ying-Ying Shih, who received Taiwan's most prestigious music award Golden Melody Award nomination in 2010 for her first EP "Someone is Praying for You," tied the knot with her boyfriend on January 4, 2014.

Shih, who has performed as a backup singer for Asian pop-sensation Wang Leehom, wrote on her Facebook page that she is thankful to God for guiding her into a new stage of life and hopes that she could imitate Christ's sacrificial love in her marriage.

Her wedding ceremony was held at Taipei East Church in Taipei, Taiwan. It was marked by a simple yet sincere note, which left deep impressions in the participating guests. Meanwhile, her newly-wed husband, musician friends, and she performed the song "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" to celebrate this special occasion.

"Love the message of the song and love singing it so much!" Said Shih.

Meanwhile, Shih shared that the only regret of the wedding was that she was not able to invite all her friends and fans due to the space limitations. To rectify this, she is planning to hold a concert this summer with a wedding theme in order to share her joy of embarking on this new stage in her life as a married woman.

Shih shared the officiating pastor's message - "Love is responsibility, complete commitment. Love is sacrifice for each other as Christ loved the world." To which, she and her husband will give an effort of a life time.

Shih's mother posted on Shih's Facebook page that her prayer has been fulfilled after participating in her daughter's marriage. After her daughter's birthday concert in early 2013, she felt this sorrow in her heart. "'My kind-hearted daughter, I can't bear to see you feel lonely inside.' I knelt before God and humbly prayed that God would grant her a good companion."

And as she has prayed, the faithful God has fulfilled her request.

Moreover, her son also got married on Dec. 28, 2013. She expressed her gratitude that both her daughter-in-law and son-in-law are kind-hearted and loveable people, and that they also have a loving family. She gave thanks for the blessings of God.

Responding to her mother's heart-felt comments, Shih said, "The same scene, two wedding ceremonies within one week. Shih's father and mother married the daughter-in-law and married their daughter within eight days. As a result, our family added quite a few family members and much blessings. Towards such wonderful and humorous arrangement, I could say it was all God's arrangement. :)"

In an exclusive interview with The Gospel Herald, Shih had shared her journey of coming to become a Christian and then making the decision to leave her office job to pursue her passion of music and performance.  She performed recently in the "Love Changes Everything" Christmas charity concerts held in both Northern and Southern California in December 2013.
