Volvo USA released a new advertisement for the 2014 XC60 on YouTube, starring NBA point guard Jeremy Lin of the Houston Rockets.

"I take training very seriously," Lin said in the video." I'm always finding ways to try and improve my game. Lately I've been working with a new training partner I've brought over from Sweden."

The video proceeds with a montage of Lin performing silly workouts around the new Volvo SUV from using the recliners on the driver's seat to do ab crunches and jumping onto the hood of the car to improve his vertical leap. The Harvard alumni also flashes some skill and muscle as he takes shots at the basket from the sun roof (You see that Baron Davis?) and tows the car by himself using only a rope.

The final segment of the commercial features Lin comically humiliating lesser opponents on a basketball court, swatting shots, going in for layups, and nabbing plenty of steals. For a guy known to be humble and sincere, Lin breaks out of character, acting really obnoxious as he takes his competition too seriously. He even blocked a little girl.

"No easy buckets!" Lin boasted while walking away from the blocked shot.

As the All-Star break comes around the corner, Jeremy Lin has been struggling to make a case of being an All-Star as fans did not vote him to the starting spot. After averaging 16.25 points per game and 7.25 assists per game in the first 12 games of the season, all of which he earned off the bench, Lin saw his numbers dip to 13.5 ppg and 4.3 apg.

Lin's struggles began once he was promoted to being a starter after his teammate Patrick Beverley suffered a knee injury. With Beverley back, Lin hopes to regain that spark as a sixth man off the bench. Time will tell whether his workouts with the 2014 Volvo XC60 has made significant progress to his game.
