If the Avalanche wins today's game, they will have eliminated the Wild and advance to the Western Conference Second Round. The Wilds will fight to remain in the season and they have played their best games of the series on home ice.

Colorado has been without Matt Duchene, who led his team with 70 points in the regular season, since he sustained a left knee injury at the end of March. He joined his teammates in line rushes during morning skates prior to Game 5. Thus, there's a possibility that he may return to the team during the Playoffs.

The Wild players expressed their frustration in the way that they've been playing, but hopes to play better in Game 6.

Captain Mikko Koivu compared Game 6 to Games 3 and 4 when Minnesota came back from Denver down 2-0 in the series.
