The appeal to US churches to support Taiwan's situation of SARS from the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan(PCT) was accepted by the Reformed Church in America(RCA) during it's annual General Synod meeting early in June.
The Rev. Lim Chong-cheng, an associate general secretary of the PCT joined the general synod of RCA and exchanged the information about the SARS situation.
RCA passed a resolutin directing its General Secretary to write to teh President fo the United States and the Prime Minister of Canada to support Taiwan.
