According to Bible Society NSW, the Australian Bible written by Kel Richard has sold over 21,000 copies since its release in August. Even though it is not technically classed as a book it has considerably big achievement. It is only 86 pages and has sold this many beyond expectation.

Author Kel Richards, who has published over 28 books, is well known ABC broadcaster and journalist. He has taken the story of Jesus’ life from bible and rewrote it chronologically using Aussie idiom.

“ It’s good news that so many Aussies want to read good news. And some of them might go further, and join the Jesus fan club. That wouldn’t be a bad thing for the land-down-under, now would it? Be better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick!” say Kel Richards

Bible Society NSW has also released The Aussie Bible on CD and VHS courtesy of Anglican Media. All the products are available from Bible Society NSW at 95 Bathurst Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia
