iPhone 6S Mini Release Date Headed for Spring 2015

We have covered a recent rumor that Apple was making an iPhone with a four-inch screen, but now this rumor has taken a new form as this supposed product now has a name: the iPhone 6S Mini.  Not only could this be a new upgrade form of the Apple iPhone, but the Apple iPhone 6S Mini could have an early release date of Spring 2015.

The iPhone 6S Mini could be some kind of plan to release a new iPhone before the iPhone 7 is to be revealed.  According to Valuewalk, "Apple could release the iPhone 6S to people who want to upgrade to a slightly cheaper model, before announcing its flagship iPhone 7 in the autumn."  This would make the iPhone 6S Mini a replacement for the iPhone 5C as a budget-friendly iPhone.

A report from the International Business Times has stated that Apple will consider producing the iPhone 6S mini series if estimates top 10 million sales.  I'm not really certain how Apple can accurately make estimates for products, and I wonder how long it will take for them to crunch the numbers in the potential sales equation.

Even though this iPhone 6S Mini would have the screen size of an iPhone 5, they would by no means have the same processing power.  One of the ways that an iPhone 6S Mini could be increased is with speed, but this would require a little reworking of what is inside this year's iPhone, but making it smaller.

In fact, Valuewalk has reported that there has been a new report from Taiwan that claims Apple is planning on doubling the RAM for both the iPads and iPhones.  Newer iPhones would then get 2 GB of RAM while the tablets would receive a 4 GB upgrade.  The boost of RAM means that users will have better speeds with multi-tasking.  In other words, the iPhone 6S could be released into the market before the iPhone 7 with this speed upgrade, and Apple could focus their consumers on a product that is "faster".

Speed might not be the only improvement, for iDigitalTimes states that iPhone 6S mini specs could bring along improvements to the front-facing and rear camera, as well as a brighter display and possibly slimmer design.

Perhaps the big reveal of the iPhone 6S Mini, or whatever Apple will call it, will take place soon after the Apple Watch is released.  This would confirm the rumor of a Spring release for the iPhone 6S Mini, but it is also equally possible that Apple intends to wait until the normal Autumn big announcement to reveal the iPhone 6S Mini.
