The 72nd Annual Golden Globes will take place on Jan. 11 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., and air in more than 190 countries, highlighting the best in both films and TV shows. Viewers can watch the awards ceremony online via NBC live stream free below.

Hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, or HFPA, which is comprised of 85 mostly freelance journalists, and produced by dick clark productions, the glitzy event will be hosted by comics Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. According to Alistair McGeorge of The Mirror, it will be the third year the duo hosted this event.

"However, it will be an emotional farewell for the pair - who replaced Ricky Gervais - as they say goodbye in their final year as hosts," McGeorge wrote.

In terms of movies, McGeorge noted that "Birdman" leads the way with seven nominations, while "Boyhood" and "The Imitation Game" have nods in five categories. As for the television shows, McGeorge reported that "Fargo" topped the nominations in five shortlists, while "True Detective" has been nominated with four potential Globes.

The full list of all the nominees in various film and television categories can be found on the Golden Globes website.

According to the writers at Deadline, the HFPA has announced the first list of presenters, some of which included previous Golden Globe nominees and winners. They include Amy Adams, Adrien Brody, Robert Downey Jr., Anna Faris, Ricky Gervais, Kevin Hart, Salma Hayek, Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum, Lily Tomlin, Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The HFPA will issue its prestigious Cecil B. DeMille award to George Clooney this year. According to the organization's blog post by John Hiscock, the legendary American actor met with the iconic filmmaker's granddaughter, Cecilia DeMille Presley, at a reception in West Hollywood, Calif. this week over a "coffee table book" she wrote with Mark Vieira.

"He was flabbergasted," Presley said about the American actor's reaction to her book. "He couldn't believe what a beautiful book it is."

Presley talked about her visits to her grandfather's sets in the book, entitled Cecil B. DeMille: The Art of the Hollywood Epic. She also elaborated on her grandfather's thoughts on his various films, which included the iconic Bible-based epic "The Ten Commandments."

"My grandfather would have loved George Clooney," Presley said. "He is fun, he has a wonderful sense of humor and he's a good actor. What's not to like about Clooney?"

According to Hiscock, the book was published to coincide with the 100th anniversary of DeMille's first film, "The Squaw Man," in 1914.

The 72nd Annual Golden Globes will air live this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC, with a pre-show airing on the same network starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. Online viewers will have to check for local availability first, but the awards ceremony will be streamed live on the NBC website around the same time coast-to-coast.
