Fans of the hit game Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V are going to be very pleased as the Heists DLC (downloadable content) might be available on February 24th, which is one month prior to the release of GTA V on the PC. Yes, I did use "might" in that last sentence, and hopefully GTA 5 should be out by that release date, as a news update seems to suggest otherwise.
This news of the February 24th release date stems from a listing in the PlayStation store showing that it would be accessible on the February 24, 2015 release date. The International Business Times reports that this entry was reported by 4Chan users. It also reported that YouTube user DomisLive noted on a video that Heists would be released on that February 24th date.
DomisLive has been a constant source of information on the Heists information that we have reported on before. The information on the missions includes a Prison Van Rescue CnC (Cops and Crooks), a Hostage Deal CnC Mission, a Weapons Deal CnC Mission and Stealing Artifacts from the Military Base, as well as an Ornate Bank and Country Bank Heist. In fact, his information about it is quite numerous, according to Kdramastars, who have also reported on the GTA V Heists February 24th release date.
Rockstar Games, the developers of GTA V, have been more than deliberately vague about when the specific release date for GTA V will be. According to Chinatopix, DomisLive has stated that the date was made vague on purpose because the release dates for GTA V were supposed to arrive on January 27, but that clearly didn't happen.
According to Express, this alleged entry in the PlayStation Store has been taken down. To this writing, Rockstar games has yet to comment about how the posting appeared, but false posts on websites are pretty common, often the result of testing that unintentionally went into the next phase.
For those of you who are not familiar with the DLC Heists update for GTA V, we have reported on it before, and it will be free for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, Sony PlayStation 4, as well as the PC version. We have also previously reported that DLC Heists is supposed to come out before the PC version is to be released, and that PC release date is around the end of March.
As of now, February 24th is less than three weeks away, so we will see if Rockstar Games can release GTA V Heists DLC within this rumored release date. If not, hopefully the delay will not be too far out, but it certainly looks like these updates are worth waiting for, which is what Rockstar hopes its fans believe. According to Venture Capital Post, Rockstar posted an announcement which read: "Thanks for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March." It would be very exciting if GTA V DLC Heists was released earlier than March.
