Updates for Minecraft are ever present across the board for consoles and PC alike. For now, there is the much anticipation building up toward Update 1.9 on Minecraft PC. Previously in March, Mojang released a massive Minecraft console update for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

In the midst of such developments, a Mojong game developer appealed to fans for much needed feedback for Minecraft 1.9 on Windows PC.

"Minecraft 1.9 is going to be the combat update," Dinnerbone wrote over Reddit. "I'm not going to tell you any more about it, but I do want to get your opinions and feedback on combat in Minecraft as it is right now - and hopefully what you think it could be like in your ideal future."

Players were very quick to respond. Many of those who participated wanted more weapons and enhanced fighting mechanics.

"I think the combat system needs more diversity," wrote SwordSmith. "There should either be more, very unique weapons, or you should make more ways to interact with players in a pvp setting. Maybe a way to parry, or a few different enchantments that makes weapons diverse. Can't wait!"

Others were less interested in perks, and wanted to Mojong to address the presence of cheaters using hacked clients.

"I feel like you should make some sort of Nocheat your main priority before coming up with new ideas," DPMagic said bluntly. "I have alot of experience with plain Vanilla, Hardcore, MMO and various other styled PvP. All have been ruined by cheaters."

At this time, there is no confirmed release date for Update 1.9. Based on Dinnerbone's recent conversation, it is safe to assume that the latest update to the Minecraft PC may be arriving soon.

Regarding console updates for Minecraft, things have remained relatively quiet since the last big update in late March. Patch 1.15 for Playstation 4, 3, and Vita fixed a number of bugs and cheats. Title Update 23 for Xbox 360 and Content Update 11 for Xbox One have received similar enhancements. One notable addition was an improved fishing system, which added new fish and different fishing methods. Fishes include salmon, puffer, and clown fishes. In addition, new texture were added.

For now, there is very little information regarding the upcoming Title Update 24, Content Update 12, and Patch 1.16. It may be necessary to wait a month or two before an official word from Mojong itself.
