Heaven is a far more glorious place than all the new worlds discovered by the most powerful telescope man deploys in space to explore the universe, said well-known Christian Evangelist William "Billy" Graham.

Writing for his column published in The Kansas City Star, Graham was reacting to a question posed by a reader asking if telescopes will be able to discover heaven. The reader also want to know what heaven looks like and if Graham has an idea how far is it.

Graham replied, "The Bible assures us that heaven is real and that it includes things we will be able to see and touch and even hear. The Bible does not, however, tell us exactly where heaven is, and there's no reason to believe our telescopes will ever discover it. It may even exist in a dimension beyond our present knowledge."

He added that although scientists have made advances in technology and have discovered new worlds in the universe showing us unimaginable beauty, Graham said heave is far more glorious than the most beautiful image here or in the universe.

Graham went on, "Every description the Bible gives us makes it clear that heaven is filled with wonders and treasures far greater than anything we know on earth. Even the most skilled artist or most brilliant composer is unable to portray its glories."

Last week, NASA released new images of Pluto as New Horizons spacecraft beamed the first haul of photos and other data it collected during historic Pluto flyby. The space agency unveiled unveil some of the best images of the planet, said Space.com.

Graham continued, "The greatest truth about heaven, however, is that it is the dwelling place of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. No doubt we'll be stunned by heaven's beauty, but most of all we will be overwhelmed by being in God's presence. The Bible says, 'It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel' (Revelation 21:11)."

He explained that no one can be certain if we will go to heaven when we die. But we can look forward to heaven and we can go there if we follow God's teachings.

"God has provided the way for us to be cleansed of our sins and welcomed into his presence forever. That way is Christ, who gave his life so we could be saved. Make sure today that heaven will be your eternal home, by repenting of your sins and giving your life to Jesus Christ," he said.
