"Pretty Little Liars" is a TV series that made its fans and followers go crazy over figuring out the identity of the evil villain, the next plot twist and even the integrity of the characters identified as the good guys. Years following the first time the evil "A" sent a text message to Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) right after the funeral of their best friend, Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse), viewers of the suspense-thriller have been eager to find out who is behind the plots and schemes. As the season finale draws nearer, followers of "Pretty Little Liars" can expect that the mystery will finally be solved.
"You are going to come face to face with 'A,'" said Marlene Kind, the creator of "Pretty Little Liars," via social media. She added, "You're going to see A's face, you're going to hear A's story, you're going to see the who, the how, the why, everything. It's no lie." With this announcement, fans of "Pretty Little Liars" could not help but be thrilled over the upcoming episode - with the stars playing the lead characters further fueling the excitement.
One of the most exciting pieces of information regarding "Pretty Little Liars" is the four-year time jump the writers planned for all five girls. Following the "Big A Reveal," Spencer, Aria, Alison, Hanna and Emily now have to deal with their lives and move on from the horrendous experiences that basically ruined their high school years.
This detail was later on confirmed by King herself in an interview. "I did say we're going to do a four-year time jump and we will honor that before the end of season six," King revealed, according to E Online. She went on to say, "It's really exciting I can't wait to see the girls after they come back from college. It's going to be awesome."
So, what happens to the "Pretty Little Liars" stars after "A" has finally been put to rest?
In an interview with Seventeen, Hale, who plays Aria, revealed that her character will go date other guys instead of getting back together with her long-time boyfriend, Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding). These two characters, who fans baptized with the moniker "Ezria," have gone through the whole "A" debacle together - breaking up and reuniting every so often, that everyone assumed they would be end game. While the two will be leading "separate lives" throughout the time-jump, Hale was quick to clarify that a reunion is not out of the picture.
Meanwhile, Alison will be staying in a place nobody ever expected her to be in. Pieterse herself admitted that the storyline for her character turned out to be the "opposite" of her initial expectations. However, fans should not fret as the "Pretty Little Liars" star assured that the decision of the writers in terms of her future "made sense" once the viewers get a full grasp of her situation.
"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 summer finale airs on August 11, 2015 (Tuesday) on ABC Family at 8 pm (EDT).
