Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's developer Treyarch and publisher Activision have just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming title's multiplayer beta access. Treyarch has also revealed lots of information about the beta phase that testers can expect for the first-person shooter game.

The game's beta test is roughly a week away (for PlayStation 4 users), so Treyarch and Activision have jointly provided a road map for gamers' trip to the year 2065. What's interesting about it is that some of the details weren't even announced for the full game.

However, due to an exclusive deal between Sony and Activision, Xbox One console owners and PC gamers are expected to wait until later this month to test the multiplayer component, as all content related to the upcoming game will come to the PS4 first.

In order to get access to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's  beta, players need to pre-order the game. PS4 owners will be able to frag each other beginning on August 19 up to August 23. Meanwhile, PC and Xbox One owners can gain access to the beta test from August 26 to 30.

Treyarch Director of Communication John Rafacz, in a post published on Tuesday, explained that the multiplayer beta will comprise of three maps, "each one having been built from the ground-up specifically for our new momentum-based chained-movement system."

As we can see in the trailer, the online beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has portrayed the three maps and seven modes in detail. The maps are called Hunted (based on Ethiopia's rugged terrain), Combine (located in the remote Egyptian Sahara), and Evac (takes place in a Singapore quarantine zone).

Furthermore, the seven confirmed modes coming to the game are Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, Domination, Demolition, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Capture the Flag, and Search & Destroy.

It's worth mentioning that the Demolition mode, initially introduced on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 back in 2009, was not seen since Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 launched in 2012. After three years, the developer has finally scheduled its return with this year's Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Demolition, as its name suggests, is described as a game mode that allows teams to alternately attack and defend two bomb sites, both of which must be destroyed by the attacking team equipped with bomb.

When it comes to the all-new specialists, the game's beta stage will let gamers use Ruin, Outrider, Prophet, Battery, Seraph, Nomad, Specter and Reaper. All of them have been provided with full biographies on the official site.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was previously announced to arrive on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, as well as and older PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles on November 6, 2015.
