Week 2 of the NFL regular season will see the Miami Dolphins going over the territory of the Jacksonville Jaguars in an effort to bag their second win since the games began. Facing off this Sunday (September 20) at 4:05 pm ET, the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to use the match at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida as a platform to avenge themselves from the disappointing performances they both exhibited during the first week of the NFL season.
"Obviously, I wasn't happy with how I played," shared Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill via ESPN, referring to his performance during his NFL team's match against the Washington Redskins on September 13. The disgruntled Miami Dolphins star added, "But we got the win. At the end of the day, that's what we're working for and we're looking to correct the things that we didn't do so well."
The Miami Dolphins will enter the second week of the NFL regular season fresh off a 17 - 10 win over the Washington Redskins. Ryan Tannehill pushed the team to win with one touchdown and the completion of 22 passes out of the 34 for 226 yards. The receiving end saw Jordan Cameron add 73 yards in four receptions. Meanwhile, Jarvis Landry contributed eight catches for 53 yards. Lamar Miller, on his part on the ground, clocked in 13 attempts for 53 yards. In total, the Miami Dolphins recorded 182.0 yards under passing, with 74.0 yards in rushing. As for the defense of Ryan Tannehill's team, the match against the Washington Wizards saw them yield 188 yards in passing and 161 yards under rushing.
"Execution I think, there were plenty of plays that we left on the field, whether it's the third-and-1 short run or a missed throw," disclosed Ryan Tannehill, referring to probable causes if the Miami Dolphins' abysmal performance against the Washington Redskins. The Miami Dolphins quarterback added, "Those are the things that you want to hit and you want to move those chains and get those first downs. The more we can do that early in the season then, it's going to carry over the rest of the year."
As for Ndamukong Suh, the Pro Bowl star rated his performance "poor." The game against the Washington Redskins saw the Miami Dolphins defensive tackle go without a single sack or at least a quarterback hit. This performance, which saw no hit or sack from the DT, has not occurred back-to-back since 2013. "I just didn't do exactly what I wanted to do, but it's over with," shared Ndamukong Suh, according to Miami Herald. He added, "I'm moving forward to Jacksonville."
Apart from Ryan Tannehill and Ndamukong Suh, the Miami Dolphins also have a frustrated Cameron Wake in their hands - a concern that will see the Jacksonville Jaguars in the receiving end of the aggression-filled vengeance of the NFL stars. Luke Sims of Fan Sided summed it up perfectly. The sports analyst pointed out, "For the Jaguars, this is a serious concern." Sims added, "Guys like Ndamukong Suh and Cameron Wake are tough to handle on regular days, but they are even harder to handle with chips on their shoulders."
