NFL Rumors: Seattle Seahawks' Russell Wilson Close to Quitting; Kam Chancellor Closes Deal With NFL Team

The Seattle Seahawks managed to bag yet another win following the Week 4 game the NFL played against the Detroit Lions. Without the looming presence of Marshawn Lynch, the Seattle Seahawks suffered a few fumbles and indecisions throughout the NFL match. However, the leadership of Kam Chancellor as well as the ever reliable resilience and strength of Russell Wilson appeared to have made up for the absence of Marshawn Lynch.

While these football stars seem to continue to gain traction with every minute that passed during the NFL match against the Detroit Lions, fans and followers of the Seattle Seahawks could not help but agree that Russell Wilson needs better defense in the field and less time handling the ball to avoid costly collisions with the opposing NFL teams.

"Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, under duress throughout the game, had miracle escapes, and nearly disastrous fumbles against the Detroit Lions," noted Larry Stone of the Seattle Times, referring to the situations that had the Seattle Seahawks quarterback in danger throughout the Week 4 NFL game. The sports analyst went on to point out that Russell Wilson "weathered a vicious hit just as he unloaded the ball" at some points in the NFL match against the Detroit Lions - a fact that should push the Seattle Seahawks to confront their dilemma in terms of providing protection to its football stars.

Stone stated that the "default mode" of Russell Wilson in the NFL match against the Detroit Lions was "running for his life." Records show that the Monday night football game had Russell Wilson sacked six times - the second time he raked in this number during this NFL season.

Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks had been in trouble when Kam Chancellor continued with his holdout. His presence and relevance in the NFL team became really felt once he came back, practically resurrecting the dying football squad in his wake. Hence, it comes as no surprise when the Seattle Seahawks teammates of Kam Chancellor rally behind him to support his stand in the negotiation with the NFL team.

Throughout the postgame interview with Kam Chancellor, Seattle Seahawks teammate Michael Bennett could be heard shouting: "Pay him! Pay him!" Presumably, this chant is in connection with the stance of Kam Chancellor in the negotiation with the Seattle Seahawks. With the performance of Kam Chancellor in the past few games, however, it looks like the Seattle Seahawks may have to rethink its decision of standing firm against the NFL star's wishes.
