HTC Special Deals and Discounts: Company Lowers Price of Re Camera and HTC One A9 will Increase

As October ends, people are now thinking about the holiday season, which will prompt them to seek out deals for the holidays.  Right now, HTC is having a sale on their Re Camera, which they debuted last year, and the price decrease is very, very significant.  Unfortunately, HTC's latest smartphone, the HTC One A9, is planning on having a price increase.

According to Engadget, HTC has cut the price of the Re Camera to $50, which is a price cut of 75 percent.   This is a planned rebate, arriving just in time for the holiday season.  If you aren't familiar with the Re Camera, it is a waterproof camera for up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.  It is shaped like a right-angle flashlight, and the battery life should be good for an hour and a half for 1080p video capture or 1,000 still shots.

The Re has absolutely no viewfinder, but it does have the ability to connect wirelessly to a smartphone if the user wants to see how his or her pictures turned out. HTC's new camera design has a central focus with tiny buttons, and it is capable of taking 16 Megapixel photos and 1,080-pixel HD videos. It also has an f2.8 lens with an ultra wide 146-degree angle of view.

The most outstanding feature of the Re is that there is no power button. The Re camera will turn on as the user gets it in position, thanks to the help of touch sensors included within. For those that want to mount the Re on a tripod, it has the threaded ¼-20 hole that is a standard for most camera mounts, and more mounts will soon be made available for consumers. There is a microSD slot to store the pictures, and the Re can support cards that go up to 128GB.

HTC is also offering another deal with their latest phone, the One A9.  According to Gizmodo, the Android smartphone, which will come with the brand new version 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow), will only have a $400 price tag until November 7th.  At that point, the price will rise by $100 to $500.

Unlike the Re Camera, this is not a special holiday deal, as apparently HTC wanted the phone at $400 indefinitely.  However, this was a special promotional pre-sale for online orders and some retail outlets.

The HTC One A9 has a 5 in FHD display, 13 Megapixel rear camera, 4 Megapixel front-facing camera, 2150 mAh battery, NFC support, and HTC Zoe, a shooting mode that captures snippets of video before and after taking a still.
