Now that Halo 5: Guardians has been put into the hands of those that have been desperately craving it, one wonders what is next for Microsoft's 343 Industries to keep them playing.  The launch was the biggest of the video game industry, compared only to Grand Theft Auto V.  Right now, the game is still pretty new, so the company doesn't feel the need to give players anything more new, but that is just for right now.   Here are some Halo 5: Guardians Second Wave Updates; What Has Been Added, and Release Dates of Possible DLC (downloadable content) and Expansion Packs.

Gotta Be Mobile states that there have been a lot of updates since the Halo 5: Guardians very successful release.  For example, Orion, a multiplayer map has been removed because players are exploiting certain areas on it.

There is a Shotty Snipers playlist coming today, and if you participate, you will get some extra XP rewards.  These playlists make it easier for gamers to get multiplayer matches and concentrate on the type of game modes that they are looking for.

There are also some changes coming to the cards that players can collect in the game as players have noticed that the same Mongoose REQ Cards were being dropped over and over again.   That issue has been fixed; the company will roll out some new REQ cards with additional armor pieces.

Youth Health Mag has stated that there will be no DLC for Halo 5: Guardians, and this has been confirmed by Josh Holmes, the studio head for 343 Industries.  There is most certainly demand some DLC as certain players have stated that the narrative was left underdeveloped, which means players cannot live up to their full potential in the game.  Since the storyline of Halo 5 has some deliberate holes in it, perhaps this was planned so some potential DLC could fill it?  That, or maybe this was just some good ahead-of-time planning for Halo 6.  After all, I think we know that Halo 6 is coming in a few years.

Even though there might not be any DLC available for Halo 5, but a lot of people are asking when will the first expansion come out for Halo 5?  According to Tech Times, there is no telling what Halo 5: Guardians first paid expansion pack will look like.  But at the very least, fans can look forward to the game's first free multiplayer update later this year.

Of course, Halo 5: Guardians is barely out of the starting blocks, which means that there is a lot that players can do with it before they become bored.  Game Rant reports that the studio's main focus is on multiplayer mode, and then perhaps they will work on DLC soon.
