When the Philadelphia Eagles first faced the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 of the current NFL regular season, fans and followers of both teams eagerly awaited how DeMarco Murray would fare against his former football squad. Much to the dismay of the Sam Bradford group, though, the running back failed to impress in his first NFL match against the Tony Romo team.
While Murray's performance disappointed his fans then, the running back came back to the AT&T Stadium swinging. In Sunday's match between Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, fans not only saw the defeat of the Greg Hardy squad but also, and more importantly, exhibited the reason Chip Kelly eagerly signed Murray into his roster - the former teammate of Dez Bryant finally proved just how much of a great investment he is.
"In obtaining DeMarco Murray from the Cowboys this offseason, the Eagles not only weakened the Cowboys run game, they got a player with intimate knowledge of the Cowboys' offense," noted Jimmy Kempski of the Philly Voice, referring to the accurate prediction of Murray in relation to the moves about to be executed by Bryant during the NFL game last Sunday.
Standing on the sidelines, Murray correctly determined that Bryant would go on the hitch route. By sharing this piece of information to CB Nolan Carroll, the Philadelphia Eagles was able to force QB Matt Casel to pass the ball elsewhere as Bryant's next moves had already been anticipated by the opposing football team.
Kempski's sentiment was echoed by the observers from Pro Sports Daily who also noted, "Apparently, the Eagles' running back remembered the Cowboys' playbook so well that he was able to correctly identify some of the Cowboys' plays ahead of time and relay important information to the defense."
The loss of the Dallas Cowboys to the Philadelphia Eagles added to the long list of failures of the NFL team this season. So far, the Joseph Randle team has managed to lose games against the Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons.
"If you enjoy being laughed at Jerry [Jones], then revel in it," said Norm Hitzges, a longtime broadcaster for Dallas, during his show on The Ticket 1310 AM/96.7 FM.
He went on to say, "Climb right into the spotlight and revel in it. Your team is now the most ridiculous team in the National Football League. The pregame shows, the postgame shows, all over network TV, all the commentators, they're laughing at you. They're watching you unravel in public. It's a like a circus, 'Step right up ladies and gentleman and watch the Dallas Cowboys unravel right before your eyes! Look at them in the locker room, fighting and screaming! Look at them on social media! Look at how they look like they don't give a damn on the field! Look at a coach that you have castrated!'"
It remains to be seen if the Dallas Cowboys will add the Miami Dolphins to the list of NFL teams that succeeded in beating them this football season. Sources claim that Romo is expected to play in the said face off on November 22 (Sunday). Scheduled at 1:00 pm ET, fans and followers of the football squad are hopeful that Romo could improve the 2-7 record of the Dallas Cowboys in the match to be held at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami.
