What role Robin would play in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is still a mystery. However, speculations culled from the reports imply that Robin will not be physically present in the movie. Instead, Robin just might be a sad and painful memory for Batman.

According to Cinema Blend, there was a Robin tease at the last scenes of Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises," implying Robin has a role to play in this subsequent Batman movie. However, what Dark Knight's sidekick's role in the upcoming Zack Snyder movie remains unclear. Cinema Blend speculates that from the earlier trailers for "Dawn of Justice," something akin to a shrine to a fallen Robin can be observed. Based on this, there is a chance that Robin would be killed, probably by Joker. In the comics, the second person to be Robin, Jason Todd, was murdered by the Joker.

In addition, Latino Review confirmed that Dick Grayson, the first person to be Robin, will receive a shoutout on the movie. It seems therefore that Robin will not have a physical role in the movie. Rather, his death would serve as Batman's main motivation in the story.

Meanwhile, right before Christmas, the second International "Batman v Superman" spot was released, ComingSoon.net reports.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" centered on the how Gotham City's own formidable, violent vigilante fights Metropolis's most revered, contemporary savior. While Batman and Superman battle it out and the city tries to decide which between the two is its hero, a new threat would surface and try to consume them all.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio. Superman is played by Henry Cavill while Batman is played by Ben Affleck. Joining in the highly anticipated superhero movie are Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), and Alfred (Jeremy Irons). Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane are returning from "Man of Steel." Actress Holly Hunter joins in the fray in a new role created just for this movie. Jason Momoa will appear in the movie as Aquaman as well.

Aside from speculations on what Robin's role would be, there are now rumors on how "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" can lead into "Justice League." Heroic Hollywood claimed that instead of having "traditional" post-credits sequence like the Marvel Studio movies, "Batman V Superman" might present a montage of action beats that would set the stage for DC's big team up movie. The closing credits on Batman v Superman will consist of a montage sequence reminiscent of what Zack Snyder did with the opening credits on Watchmen... the montage gave us the history of The Minutemen and set the tone of the world of Watchmen. Using this technique as a closing credits montage to set up The Justice League is a stroke of brilliance. It worked for The Minutemen and can work for The Justice League. Using this technique, Warners avoids the comparisons to Marvel in the event they wanted to use a post-credit scene," El Mayimbe from Heroic Hollywood shared.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to be released worldwide on March 25, 2016.
