"Duck Dynasty's" reality TV star Korie Robertson this week packed a surprise into her New Year Facebook posts: She and her husband, Willie, are adopting a 13-year-old boy. Willie and Korie already are parents to five, with biological children John Luke, Sadie, and Bella, adopted son Will, and their foster daughter, Rebecca, who first came to the family as an exchange student from Taiwan in 2004.
"We've had lots of questions about the cute kid popping up in our photos lately," Korie started.
"We are excited to be in the process of adopting a new son! He's been with us since May, but we wanted some privacy and time for him and our family to bond before telling the world. (It's a bit of an adjustment coming into this big, crazy family, ha)."
She said the Robertsons are all thrilled to have another kid around the house, calling him "amazing." She hasn't yet revealed his name, however.
"Couldn't keep the good news to ourselves any longer! We appreciate your prayers and support for our family! Love, The Robertsons," the 42-year-old mother concluded.

During the Angels in Adoption Event last fall, Korie hinted about her family's plans to welcome another addition sometime soon, reports Country Rebel. "We are always open to adoption. We feel like adoption has blessed our family in so many ways. And we are so thankful for our kids both biological and adopted. So 'never say never.' That's for sure."
In an interview with ET, Korie shared that their new son played a big role in an important family event, John Luke and Mary Kate's wedding. "We got him at the end of the school year. He walked my grandmother down the aisle (at John Luke's wedding)," Korie explained.
Korie's Facebook friends responded with many congratulatory comments and prayers, and often inclusions of how adoptions have benefitted their personal lives.
Lori Rebert Albert said she knows the joy and excitement the Roberstons all feel!! "We built our family through adoption. We are working on #8! I love your family and y'all big hearts! Y'all are blessed to have another family member and he is blessed to get y'all as his forever family!"
Donna Rhea offered that adoption is wonderful. "We have a son who is now 14 and he is our world. Adoption was in God's plan for us and how wonderful it has been to be parents to this wonderful loving child. Although u do not know me, we r sisters in Christ and mothers to wonderful children thru adoption. So happy for you and your family this young man is truly blessed."
Duck Dynasty returns to A&E on Jan. 13.
