'Avengers: Infinity War' Cast and Update: Next Movie To Focus On Less Popular Avengers, 'Black Widow' Movie May Happen

"Avengers: Infinity War" is really happening. Not only are their release dates already, but there are also now details on the possible focus of the movie, which will land in theaters in two parts.

If "Avengers" fans thought "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain America: Civil War" had too many story lines, they will be surprised to know that the number of characters for "Avengers: Infinity War" will not be that much slimmer. In fact, the upcoming movie has 67 characters. Whether or not the storyline and plot will be too muddled in this case, fans need not worry. According to the directors, they will try to focus on the supporting Avengers this time, or Avengers, who are yet to have their own story arc.

Russo explained the possible plot in detail, as reported by ComicBook.com. "Everything is finite, right? Nothing can last forever. It's cyclical. Some New Avengers in Phase 4 are going to become prominent and then maybe some Avengers might not be around anymore. So, we'll see how all this plays out, but you have to treat every character with respect. I think it's interesting that if you've seen four or five movies with the lead character having an arc, I want to see some storytelling from some of the secondary characters. We're focusing on that right now with Infinity War while we're breaking into those movies, is which characters can we pull to the forefront who potentially haven't had their own 'A' story arc to this point. I think you'll see that the supporting Avengers are going to become primary Avengers," he said.

While it is exciting to know that fans can know more about other less popular Avengers characters, it cannot be denied that many want to see a film that puts Black Widow front and center too. Seems like Russo liked that as well and shared that they are more than happy to make a Black Widow film.

"Hell, yeah," he answered, when asked whether they are willing to do the film on the sexy yet complex female superhero. "We love that character. We find that the character is one of the richest, if not the richest, character in the Marvel Universe. A very, very complex character, is haunted by demons. Her understanding of the world is fascinating, and I think there's a lot that can be done with that character."

Earlier on, "Agents of Shield" star Clark Gregg, who also co-starred with Scarlett Johansson's (Black Widow) on "The Avengers" shared his similar sentiments. According to him, it will be tragic not to give Black Widow her own film."Black Widow has been around from day one of this..." he told Digital Spy."...and is portrayed with this kind of heavy-hearted ferocity by Scarlett Johansson - who I think is as good as any actor working today.

"It seems like it would be tragic, it would be a waste, if that character wasn't given the spotlight in the way that some of the other characters have been," he added.
