Samsung's Gear 360 VR Camera and Galaxy S7 Set To Debut on Feb. 21 MWC: Know their Release Date, Specs and Features Update

Tech companies are now racing to development the most advanced virtual-reality gadget. Now, Samsung will join the 360-degree video camera market as they relese the Gear 360 alongside with the Galaxy S7, the latest flagship from company.

Here's what we know so far about the release date, specs and features of the latest gadgets from Samsung.

CNET confirmed that the Samsung Gear 360 will be launched during Mobile World Congress ( MWC) at the company's 21 February Unpacked event. The launching will happen at Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona. Traditionally, the South-Korean tech company unveils their latest devices at the event.

The Gear 360 is a compact spherical camera that shoots images at 360 degrees using its two 180-degree fisheye lenses. The device can be connected to a phone via Bluetooth, thanks to its Gear 360 Connect application. It is also reported that the device might be compatible to the latest Galaxy devices.

For interested buyers of Samsung Galaxy S7, Sammobile confirmed that it has Gear 360 compatibility.

The camera features of the device are stunning. It has HDR, exposure control, white balance and ISO setting, and a Liveview option. Users can also choose between 360 (dual lens) or 180-degree (single lens) front cam in shooting images. There's also VR view modes, which includes dual view, panoramic view, and time lapse and looping video. The maximum resolution for dual lens mode is at 3840 x 1920 pixels or 1920 x 1920 pixels in single lens mode.

It is also possible that buyers can watch live events via Gear 360′s video feed live on a connected phone. Imagine watching a courtside-view of real-time NBA games while sitting on your room, surely it would be an awesome experience.

On other hand, here are the features of Samsung Galaxy S7. Venture Beat said Samsung's upcoming flagship device is powered with Snapdragon 820, or Samsung Exynos 8890 -- depending on buyer's region. These processors are coupled with 4GB LPDDR4.  Its battery capacity is at 3,000mAh. Moreover, the phone's special features are Fingerprint scanner, Force Touch pressure-sensitive panel, water and dust resistance and SB Type-C connector.

With that limited information, we can expect to hear more from Samsung at their Unpacked event on 21 February. Let's just have to wait see what this device will offer over other gadgets already available on the market.
