The Pokémon series is one of the best-selling games on the market today. Recently, the franchise celebrated its 20th anniversary with a Super Bowl ad, which highlighted some of the most fan-favorite Pokémon characters. After the ad released online, several gaming websites said it would pave way for the launching of "Pokemon Z" and "Pokemon Go."
Here's what we know so far about the Pokemon Go and Pokemon Z release date, features and rumors.
The thrilling Super Bowl ad encouraged fans to "train on," which is a mantra of Pokémon trainer. The ad urged players to go forward and follow their dreams. It also featured Pokémon characters like Gyarados, Magneton, Mega Lucario and Pikachu.
The Pokémon Super Bowl advertisement is meant to celebrate the franchise's 20th year anniversary, but several fans believed that there is no way a company will spend that much money without pushing some kind of product. By observing the promotional video, it has excellent resolution and full of Computer-generated imagery (CGI) which is very expensive.
The Pokémon Company is still mum about the developments of Pokémon GO and Pokémon Z. There are many reports circulating online about the apparent release date of the games, but those are only mere speculations. Movie News Guide published that Pokémon Z might be released alongside with Pokémon GO.
In our previous report, we said that Pokémon Zygarde could be the central character in Pokemon Z. The legendary Pokémon has five different forms: Cell, Core, 10% Form, 50% Form and Complete Form.
Pokémon X and Y, the highly speculated previous editions of Pokémon Z, was released in 2013, so it is not surprising that fans are curious to know the developments and release date of the games' next installment.
On other hand, Pokémon GO is a augmented-reality game where players can hunt and search for Pokémon in the real world. It is very interesting because players have to go to mountains, seas, rivers and even cities to capture virtual monsters.
The game will allow players to "capture Pokémon, who inhabit parks, shopping areas, sidewalks and the countryside all around the world," Founder of Niantic John Hanke told PC Advisor. Niantic is the developer of the upcoming Pokemon game.
To boost the developments of Pokemon Go, Niantic received donations from three major players: The Pokémon Company, Google, and Nintendo.
With that information, let's just wait for the official announcements from the Pokémon Company. Stay tuned with Gospel Herald for more information.
