Android 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date Update for LG G4, G3, G4 Stylo, V10, and G Flex 2 for US Cellular, T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon

Last week, at Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona, Spain, LG unveiled their newest flagship phone, the LG G5. This new phone is planned to be in the hands of users soon, and it will surely come with Android 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow) right out of the packaging.  Considering that Android M has been out for a few months, it looks like it is finally catching up to at least the LG G4 for LG brand devices.  This is the news about the Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for LG G4, G3, G4 Stylo, V10, and G Flex 2 for US Cellular, T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon.

LG promised when Android 6.0 was revealed that its devices would be one of the first to receive Android M on their individual devices.  There was an initial rollout in Poland for last year's flagship phone G4, and it showed up on the flagship LG G3 from two years ago.  It would appear that the G3 has received Marshmallow as of February 16 on Verizon, according to Android Authority

The LG G4 is also pretty much covered by most carriers.  The LG G4 received Android M on the same date as the LG G3, at least on Verizon.  Before that, the G4 on T-Mobile received its update on February 6, and then received the upgrade on T-Mobile on February 9th.  Then before that, US Cellular received the Android upgrade on January 12.  Then before that, Sprint was the first to lead the Marshmallow charge starting last year on December 18.

Canadian carriers Telus and Rogers got their upgrade on February 2nd.  So it's pretty much standard that if you have an LG G4, then you probably have Android 6.0.  It looks like the LG G3 is on its way, and it appears that the G4 Stylo as well as the V10 and the G Flex 2 will be getting the upgrade as well.

The issue with the news version of Android is the release dates tend to come somewhat sporadically, depending on the carrier.  So yes, the G3 is on Verizon, but it could take a while before it comes to the other major carriers in the United States.

This is assuming that the upgrade has not arrived already.  Users of the LG G4, G3, G4 Sylo, V10, and G Flex 2, are encouraged to go to their "Settings" menu and see if the upgrade is available by hitting "System Update".  This will determine if the update is available Over The Air (OTA).
