Samsung unveiled its "Edge" devices two years ago. The lineup includes Galaxy Note Edge, which sports a contemporary design with the edgy body. Because the device performed great in sales charts, the South Korean tech company decided to release a host of other Edge devices like Galaxy S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Galaxy S7 Edge. Now, latest rumors say the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2 might also feature a curved-edge side display.

According to International Business Times, Samsung is selling its curved-edge display panels to several Chinese phone manufacturers. In fact, Vivo has already launched a dual-curved screen device, which is the Vivo Xplay5 Elite. It features a Samsung-made 'dual edge' curved 5.43-inch Super AMOLED display, partnered with1440x2560 pixel screen resolution.

It is also reported that Huawei will release side-edge display clad devices sometime this year. Some industry followers said it is plausible that the next iteration of Mate will have the trendy display feature.

As for the release date of Xiaomi Mi Note 2, it is interesting to mention that the first version of Xiaomi Mi Note released last year, so several tech websites predict its next iteration should be available very soon. The next-generation of Xiaomi Mi Note could feature an at least 5.7-inch screen display. As for its processors, it is highly likely that Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 will power up the device. Plus, it could have 4 GB of RAM to aid the processor.
