Clark Gregg, also known as Phil Coulson, recently appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to talk about his television series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." As he was talking about the show, he also hinted that a character might die in the future episodes.

As he sat down with television talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, Gregg can't seem to stop talking about the death of a character. Although he did not say which character might get killed off, his tone suggests that this might happen soon.

"[Killing characters] seems like a big deal now," he said during the show according to Comic Book Resources. "People kill people off a lot, on 'Game of Thrones,' 'Walking Dead,' and our show as well!"

"People will be working and having a good day and all of a sudden you look and all the executive producers are by the monitor and everyone's like, 'Don't look at them. Don't look at them!...Oh my god, they're looking at me right now!' And you think, 'this is it,'" he added.

He then went on to say that cast members of the show, including himself experienced this only recently.

"It might be someone's going to die," he added.

Cinemablend pointed out that if someone's going to die, it might happen this season since shooting for the fourth season has not yet started. Also, the third season of the series still has a couple of episodes left before its finale.

And, based on the trend of the events in the show, the character who could die might come from the side of the good guys. After all, they're currently at a disadvantage since Hive is now controlling HYDRA and Gideon Malick's forces are getting stronger.

However, for now, it's hard to guess which character the producers will decide to kill off. But, whoever it is, it can be expected that it will come as a huge shock to viewers since the series is nearing its final episode.

The upcoming episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will premiere on April 19 and is titled "The Team." The series' finale, "Ascension," will air on May 17.
