'Gran Turismo Sport' PS4 Release Date, New Cars and Update: Expect Worldwide Launch Date In November, Sony Says

Gran Turismo Sport is set to be launched in November. This is the first installment of the 18-year-old franchise on PS4. The forthcoming game is said to contain features that will surely excite fans once it reaches the gaming shelves. Now, here's what is currently known about Gran Turismo Sport release date, new cars and new tracks.

Game publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed the release date yesterday. According to a Polygon report, Gran Turismo Sport will be launched on November 15 in the U.S. and Japan. It will also be available in the UK on November 18. The game was introduced last October at Paris Games Week.

Furthermore, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi stated that there might be a beta version of Gran Turismo Sport early this year. Polyphony Digital, the game developer of the game, also expects the launching of beta version. However, Sony did not give any further details about the beta program.

Interestingly, Yamauchi said they planned to make Gran Turismo Sport that is compatible with Playstation VR. It is expected Sony will launch the virtual reality device this year. So, prepare for an out of this world racing experience.

Gran Turismo Sport will introduce four sets of cars. According to IGN, the upcoming game will offer premium real-world vehicles. The game will also return dirt tracks, offering 19 tracks with 27 possible layouts. It is also expected to contain livery editor called Scapes that will output at 4K resolution.

In addition, the upcoming racing game might include an unspecified app release alongside it.

As for its price, the latest entry in the popular racing series will be available for $69.99. It will have a limited edition to mark the series' debut on PlayStation 4. The mentioned edition comes with $1 million in-game credits, a pack of livery stickers, a Gran Turismo Sport Starter Pack which includes eight cars, a bundle of 30 GT Sport-themed PS4 avatars, and a racing helmet. The Limited Edition is expected to come in a Steelbook case.

For other updates, the game publisher confirmed a pre-order bonus for the game. It will be an add-on called the 3-Car Pack. It will give players an opportunity to access Toyota FT-1 Vision GT group 3, Mustang Group B Rally car and Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP. These bonuses are available to customers who pre-ordered Gran Turismo Sport through PlayStation store, GameStop and Amazon.
