Dragonball Xenoverse 2 Release Date for PS4, Xbox and PC: Expect the Sequel This Year, Bandai Namco Says

Bandai Namco confirmed that the sequel of Dragonball Xenoverse would be released this year. However, it is reported that it will be available first in Japan. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Dragonball Xenoverse 2 release date for PS4 Xbox and PC.

The game publisher has announced that Dragonball Xenoverse 2 will be launched in Japan this winter. According to a Forbes report, the Japanese release of the sequel will only be available on PS4. However, its western release will be for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

As for the features, the sequel is expected to offer character extensive customization, but the story behind the sequel is still unknown. iDigital Times stated that a player will still have to protect the history of Dragon Ball just like the first game.

Furthermore, Polygon has reported that more details about the game will be announced at this year's E3 event, which will happen in June at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Rumors around the internet said the game's release dates for western countries are slated to be announced at the E3 event also.

Interestingly, the game engine that will be used for Dragonball Xenoverse 2 seems very similar to the previous game. But game developer Dimps assured gamers that they will optimize the sequel further for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

For now, we believe to the promise of Bandai Namco that this sequel will be "the most detailed Dragon Ball world ever developed."

On the other hand, Eric Hartness stated in a press release that the Dragonball Franchise is a crown jewel and a fan-favorite of Bandai Namco. He also said that the upcoming sequel will build upon that legacy. They are working diligently with the game developer to carry the game to new heights. Hartness is the Bandai Namco Entertainment America vice president for marketing.

The first game of Dragonball Xenoverse has launched February last year. It was available for major consoles like PlayStation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The game was presented with 3D battle arenas.

The said Dragonball game allows players to customize their character's gender, face, facial hair, and body features. Sound effects of characters can also be customized. Also, It has an online multiplayer mode which can be accessed through Toki-Toki city.

 The first Dragonball Xenoverse sold around 2.5 million copies worldwide.
