Developer 2K Sports recently announced new wrestlers that are included in WWE 2K17 NXT Collector's Edition, which was made available for pre-order last Thursday. We expect more characters will be revealed in the next weeks to come. Here's the latest round-up of update about WWE 2k17 release date, roster and rumors on the web.
Interested buyers of WWE 2K17 Collector's Edition should hurry up because this special edition will only have 50,000 copies in the market. 2K Sports did not reveal why there's limited copy for the Collector's Edition, which contains a list of goodies that would definitely love by wrestling fans.
The WWE 2K17 NXT Collector's Edition comes with physical copy of WWE 2k17 game and a bunch of NXT Enhancement freebies, which includes a 50 percent boost in points during MyCareer mode. In addition, the special edition contains a lithograph signed by Shinsuke Nakamura - one of the hottest starts in NXT today.
Forbes reported the WWE 2K17 NXT Collector's Edition has a suggested retail price of $99.99. That's a pretty standard amount for most of collector's editions in the video game market.
As for the new WWE 2k17 wrestlers, expect the appearance of Shinsuke Nakamura, Nia Jax, and Apollo Crews - all included in NXT Collector's edition. It is rumored the Four Horsewomen of NXT -- Charlotte, Bayley and Becky Lynch -- are in this year's WWE 2K game.
In an interview with ABC News, Paul "Triple H" Levesque said the NXT brand has been a breakout show for wrestling entertainment. He also added NXT is set to "bring in a new era of WWE." Before WWE wrestlers appear on shows like RAW and Smackdown, they hone their craft and skills on this developmental show. Over the years, NXT became popular and gained many viewers.
The WWE 2K17 -- with Brock Lesnar on the cover -- is scheduled to become available on October 11 for PS3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As we mentioned earlier, the NXT Edition can now be preordered today.
In the current WWE 2K16, it boasts a roster of more than 150 different playable wrestlers. Without DLC contents, the game has over 120 original characters. Considering that 2K Sports continues to improve the game since taking over the WWE license, WWE 2k17 should feature a massive number of wrestlers.
While the full roster has not yet revealed, the confirmed wrestlers are Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Sasha Banks, Ultimate Warior, Apollo Crews, Shinsuke Nakamura, Nia Jax.
