The sister of Michael Bublé shared an encouraging Bible verse on social media shortly after the Grammy Award-winning singer asked for prayers for his three-year-old son, Noah, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Noah's aunt Brandee Bublé, who is Bublé's sister, took to Instagram to offer some encouragement to her family:  "And now these three remain: faith, hope, & love. But the greatest of these is love," reads the chalkboard writing on the photo - a biblical quote from 1 Corinthians 13:13.

"And we've got a lot ... " the children's book author captioned the heartwarming message, adding a heart emoji.

The devoted aunt posted another photo of a toy 'Hatchimals' and said she "spent hours looking" all over Vancouver for the gift she promised her nephew Noah and in the end found one "an hour away from where we live and twice the price". She ended the post with the hashtag: "We stick together."

As earlier reported, the Canadian singer, 41, and wife Luisana Lopilato, 29 - who are also parents to 9-month-old son Elias - shared the heartbreaking news of Noah's diagnosis in a statement on the singer's Facebook page Friday.

"We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US," it read. "We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children."

The statement continued, "Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing."

According to the Mail Online, doctors in Los Angeles confirmed the couple's worst fears last Tuesday after doing a liver biopsy following an initial examination at a clinic in Buenos Aires.

Noah is also said to have started chemotherapy which is going to last four months, magazine Gente reports.

Luisana's elder sister Daniela told the magazine on Tuesday: "If God wanted it to be discovered that way, it's because he wants to save Noah. Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this.We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it's got to be done. They say children are normally strong to put up with chemotherapy and my nephew is a warrior."

Bublé opened up about the joys of fatherhood and the overwhelming love he feels for his children last month while speaking with Entertainment Tonight: "I love them more than I'll ever love anything, or anyone in the whole universe. I think it gave me perspective on life that I think I very badly needed," he said. "It's hard to be able to quantify that level of love. I didn't even know that there was that color in the spectrum. I didn't know that level of love existed. But it makes me better at everything. It allows me to pull more emotion and be more honest and to be in the moment."
