Former WWE champ Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson can add People's "Sexiest Man Alive" title to his list of accomplishments. The wrestler-turned-actor was crowned this year's winner Tuesday morning. Johnson discussed his new status with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show Tuesday. He also lent his voice to a character in the animated Disney film "Moana," which hits theaters next week.

The 44-year-old told People the new honor means he has "pretty much reached the pinnacle." The magazine cover promoted him as "sweet, smart and sculpted."

"This just means I'm still up at 4am trainin' hard, takin' care of my babies, drivin' my pick-up truck and tellin' a few nerdy jokes," Johnson joked on his Facebook page Tuesday morning.

He thanked the staff at People, as well as all the fans worldwide. "I'm honored and grateful for the luv!"

"Remember, sexy isn't something you "try and be." Sexy happens naturally when you're comfortable just being yourself," stated Johnson.

DeGeneres surprised him with a tribute video to break the news. Entitled "Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson: The Evolution of a Sex Symbol," the video highlighted some of Johnson's most impressive moments, from his time in WWE to his breakout action roles that have made him a global icon and the highest paid actor in the world.

The video also featured some of Johnson's not-so-sexy moments, including that infamous photo of him in a black sweater wearing a fanny pack and some more photos showing off the various wispy mustaches he grew through the years, according to the Houston Chronicle.

When DeGeneres asked him if this new title would change him in any way, Johnson replied, "What this means is I still have to drive in my pickup truck and change Jasmine's diapers, but I'm the sexiest man alive!"

Last year's winner was British soccer standout David Beckham. Other recent winners include Chris Hemsworth, Adam Levine and Channing Tatum.
