Justin Bieber is currently renewing his image to the public. From bad-boy-lost-singer to down-to-earth pop star. However, the feat seemed to be challenging as he is centered in another violent controversy once again.

The "Baby" singer was videotaped punching a fan last Tuesday as his car rolled in the streets of Barcelona. A young male fan tried to approach his open window and as the fan drew closer, he reached his arm out to touch the star.

But, his efforts were responded with a quick punch to the face, according to TMZ. The guy reportedly went home with a bloodied face.

Though the fan went home injured, some argue that Justin Bieber was in the right. He was in his private space and a stranger tried to touch him.

Fans are defending "The Biebs" saying the guy stepped a line. Another fan even argued that Justin Bieber was not being rude to the fans and photographers present at the time because if he had chosen to go incognito, he would have just raised his tinted window and not let anyone take a peek.

"We all pay too much attention to his mistakes, we cant judge because he have never been in his position and his mistakes are always caught on camera. To be honest i feel so bad for Justin every move he makes there is always someone who disagrees and that Belieber is the one to blame for not giving him space he should have thought about the consequences after," wrote a fan.

This is not the first time a celebrity defends himself from an attacking fan. In this case, it was a woman who had to defend herself from a man who lifted her up on the street.

According to MTV, supermodel Gigi Hadid encountered the same fate. Last September, Hadid was walking after a Max Mara fashion show with her socialite sister Bella Hadid when a man crept up from behind and lifted her off the ground. Gigi flipped and got furious.

British paper The Sun described Gigi Hadid's reaction as a "not model behavior" towards a "fan."

However, Gigi took to Twitter to explain herself saying she believe what she did was self defese.

"THANK YOU RACHEL. To unknown article writer: fan?!!!! The ACTUAL fans that were there can tell you what happened. I'm a HUMAN BEING-and had EVERY RIGHT to defend myself. How dare that id**t thinks he has the right to man-handle a complete stranger. He ran quick tho," wrote Gigi.
