Minecraft has achieved great success as a three-dimensional video game. The critically acclaimed and best-selling Lego-like game will be soon rivaled by Minecraft-like Lego Worlds. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, The Lego Group and game developer TT Games have just announced that the Lego game will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Feb. 21.

Lego Worlds was first released back in 2015 on Steam Early Access. The Lego Worlds is akin to Minecraft, it is "made entirely of digital LEGO bricks where players can explore, discover and create together". According to the PlayStation LifeStyle, part of becoming a Master Builder is to help other LEGO characters. It gives players freedom to build environments and creations. It offers several options such as constructing them brick by brick, using pre-built LEGO structures or working with paint and shape tools.

Though there are obvious similarities between the Lego Worlds and Minecraft, it has one significant difference. According to Venture Beat, Lego Worlds won't require you to "lay down bricks one at a time from a first-person view". If you have used the Paint program in Windows, it will work like that way. This game is also equipped with online multiplayer capability. This will allow them to "engage in co-operative and competitive play experiences that players can build themselves".

TT Games' Head of Production Jonathan Smith described the experience for Lego Worlds' players. Aside from "customizing characters, exploring in vehicles and building structures", players will also discover "an expansive range of items, characters and creatures throughout the worlds". Players should expect creatures like "vampires scaring Yetis" and "zombies invasion".

According to the Steam, it will be continuously updated with additional vehicles, characters, creatures, LEGO bricks and in-game weapons and items. Though the date has been revealed, the price is not yet known. The Steam Early Access version costs $14.99 USD. UK will be having the Lego Worlds three days later on Feb. 24, according to IGN. Meanwhile, PlayStation is offering a separate LEGO Agents DLC pack for the Lego Worlds. It features new character, vehicles, weapons and more from the Agents set. It is available on PS4 for only days.

The new Lego game has been in the Early Access for quite some time. In fact, it was released on Steam back in June 1, 2015. IGN further reported that while it is still under development there, fans can actually try out the game. More importantly, TT Games welcomes feedback that can help them improve the game. Since it will be released to consoles and PC, the Lego Worlds must be in a much better state now than it was more than a year before.
