Woman Rams SUV Into T-Mobile Store, Upset With Replacement Policy

Some companies follow the mantra that the customer is always right. However, is that the case for this particular woman? She was decidedly upset with T-Mobile's replacement policy, and decided that the best way to express her frustration with the mobile carrier was to floor the accelerator of her SUV and driving straight into a T-Mobile store. It certainly seems as though she would need to go through some sort of anger management classes after this episode, lawsuits notwithstanding.

Driving your vehicle right into someone or a company’s store is definitely not the way to air your grievances, although she would have definitely picked up her 15 minutes of fame along the way. 26 year old Shinobia Montoria Wright is a resident of Palm Springs, Florida. After her iPhone’s screen was cracked, she headed right straight to the nearest T-Mobile store in order to ask for a replacement. She was celebrating her birthday, and obviously was not too happy if her wish for a new iPhone to replace the cracked one were not fulfilled.

Staff at the T-Mobile Store which she dropped by were less than impressed with her request, and did not go ahead with a replacement. It was also of note that Wright did seem to be under the influence of an unidentified substance at the time when she made her request. Living up to the adage that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, she went home. That was not the end of the episode however. The next day, she literally drove her 2005 Nissan Armada SUV into the very same T-Mobile Store that she stopped by the day before.

The carnage and damage caused? More than $30,000 worth, and while there were no deaths, a T-Mobile Store staff member was injured when a display case swayed to the law of physics and dropped on top of that unfortunate person. That T-Mobile Store has since been declared to be “unsafe” by the city of Palm Springs.

Wright’s fury did not stop there. She came out from her vehicle after ramming into the store, and then began to smash the displays there with her squeegee she. She even attempted to enter a staff-only area, but when prevented by one of the male staff, she attacked him instead, resulting in the poor man experiencing “visible damage” to his neck.

The police did show up at the scene not too long afterwards, promptly arresting her and charging Wright with aggravated battery, battery, burglary, criminal mischief over $1,000, as well as reckless driving. Wright did not escape unscathed physically from the situation, as she did go through some surgery at a local hospital to patch up her forearms which were injured in the crash. Perhaps she is mentally unstable, as she has been put through a mental health examination in the meantime.

The police mentioned that neither drugs nor alcohol were substances that influenced her to ram her SUV into the T-Mobile Store. Wright herself told the police that this was due to a “bad day”. God help us all if she experiences the worst day of her life!
