The Dallas Cowboys were the ultimate Cinderella story in the 2016-17 NFL season as Dak Prescott emerged as the knight in shining armor to save the team when they thought the Tony Romo injuries would put them out of the running. However, it looks like a new face would be added to the Dez Bryant squad to help the rookie as Mark Sanchez appeared to have been an unsatisfactory backup last season. Does this mean that a Tyrod Taylor contract could be on its way to the Zek Elliot team?

The Buffalo Bills and Tyrod Taylor are finding it difficult to get a common ground. While the quarterback is arguably one of the notable stars in the league, some happen to think that he has overstayed his welcome in the NFL team. Moreover, the exit of Rex Ryan as head coach of the Buffalo Bills reportedly indicated the end of the Tyrod Taylor era as well.

"Tyrod's [Taylor] benching prior to the season finale against the New York Jets, after Rex Ryan was fired, seemed to be the tipping point for most observers," noted Jeff Hunter in his analysis of the Buffalo Bills quarterback situation. He added, "That seemed to primarily stem from the fact that Anthony Lynn implied that the front office decision makers didn't want to risk triggering Taylor's injury clause in what he termed a 'business decision.'"

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly open to a Tony Romo trade soon. Even prior to the NFL offseason, fans already expected the veteran to exit the Zek Elliot squad following the astounding talent displayed by Dak Prescott in the gridiron. With the Dallas Cowboys rumored to be letting go of Mark Sanchez in free agency, some fans take the possibility of a Tyrod Taylor trade seriously.

"The first place the Cowboys will likely look for their next backup quarterback will likely be free agency. Dallas will have plenty of options when it comes to who their next backup could be as the list of players in free agency this year is pretty impressive as far as backups go," pointed out Carl Daley of the speculated plans of Jerry Jones to help out Dak Prescott in the field.

What do you think? Will the Dallas Cowboys be a good landing spot for a Tyrod Taylor contract? Will the Buffalo Bills quarterback do a better job at mentoring the talented Dak Prescott compared to Mark Sanchez?
