As Disney and Lucasfilm released the first photo of the upcoming Han Solo spinoff, “Han Solo: A Star Wars Story,” since they began filming in February, plenty of rumors have been on the rise despite the lack of actual images from the set. The first photo dropped in February featured the cast members along with directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller crammed together in the Millennium Falcon’s cockpit.

A new set of “Han Solo: A Star Wars Story” photos have already been released more recently, giving fans a more detailed look at the characters’ costumes plus Han Solo’s personal vehicle before he ever jumped onto the Millennium Falcon.

In a report by TMZ, the outlet featured the latest set of behind-the-scenes images, with one of the images featuring actor Alden Ehrenreich, who plays the young Han Solo on the upcoming spinoff, seated on a personal transport- a vehicle noticeably smaller than the Millennium Falcon.

The story for the Han Solo spinoff movie has been set 10 years before the story of “A New Hope.” It has been rumored to show exactly how Han Solo obtained the Millennium Falcon from his old pal, Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover). It has been known in “Empire Strikes Back” that Han Solo raked in the ship “fair and square” from his friend. Although it was not confirmed as to how Lando lost the Falcon to Han, it has been suggested that Han won the Falcon as a prize when he triumphed over his friend during a game of Sabacc- a popular card game in gambling in their galaxy. While there have been rumors among “Star Wars” fans that the “Han Solo: A Star Wars Story” will feature the actual game, it is yet to be confirmed.

In addition, the upcoming Han Solo spinoff movie might feature the Kessel Run that was mentioned in several “Star Wars” movies in the past years, while the Millennium Falcon was going through the trade route in merely 12 parsecs. In the past films, it was not mentioned as to whether the Millennium Falcon did complete the Kessel Run, although fans are looking forward to seeing it get featured in the upcoming Han Solo spinoff or in future installments as Lucasfilm confirmed it is prepping up for a Han Solo trilogy.

After directing box office hits, such as “The LEGO Movie” and “21 Jump Street,” Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be directing the “Han Solo: A Star Wars Story.” The script has been penned by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan.

Disney and Lucasfilm have already set the official “Han Solo: A Star Wars Story” premiere date on May 25, 2018, debuting exactly 41 years following the debut of “A New Hope”. They are also set to release the upcoming “Star Wars IV” in 2019, while a third “Star Wars” spinoff, rumored to be centered on Boba Fett, has been set for a 2020 premiere.
