Supreme Court Denial to Halt California Gay Marriage Bypasses Rule of Law
The U.S. Supreme Court denied Proposition 8 supporters’ request to halt same-sex “marriages” in the state of California after the Ninth Circuit Court of California allowed licenses to be issued in the state on Friday. Supporters of heterosexual marriage argue that the lower court should not have issued same-sex licenses prior to the receipt of the Supreme Court’s final disposition.

Christian Psychologist Henry Cloud: 'Brain Needs Relationship to Grow'
Christian author and clinical psychologist Dr. Henry Cloud spoke at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church on Sunday, highlighting the importance of relationships and their effect on cognitive functioning. The church, which uses a myriad of Cloud’s books in their ministry programs, is doing a series on marriage and relationships called “Too Close for Comfort.”

Hobby Lobby Mandatory Morning-After Pill Ruling Overturned
The Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver has overturned a previous U.S. District Court in Oklahoma’s ruling that Hobby Lobby was not exempted from health care legislation mandates to include birth control measures in employee health benefits. The Christian-based store, which refused to pay for contraceptive and abortive pills for employees, will not incur fines for non-compliance while legal proceedings are ongoing.

U2’s Bono in Interview with Focus on the Family: ‘Jesus Was the Son of God’
Christian radio program Focus on the Family interviewed the lead singer of rock band U2 about his faith in Christ and his social justice efforts around the world. Paul David Hewson, also known as “Bono,” is a global advocate of social justice for the poor. The singer was born in Ireland to a Protestant mother and a Catholic father, and met his wife of 30 years at the age of sixteen.
