Rocketown Records' first artist, Chris Rice, will release a best of album titled "Short Term Memories". The 17-track album will come out June 8, and will feature two new songs as well as nine No. 1 radio hits, and a new version of his latest No. 1 "Untitled Hymn (Come to Jesus).
"The songs represented on 'Short Term Memories' are really all incredible,” said Rocketown Records President Don Donahue. “The hardest job we had was to actually cut songs like ‘Hallelujahs’ and ‘Everything's OK’ off of the final list—we simply had too much great material. Chris is a master at the twist of phrase that makes a song so enjoyable to someone who loves great songwriting. Each of these songs has a special memory of the first time I heard them, and our hope is that the consumer feels the same way. This is truly a stunning collection."
During the Gospel Music Week 2004, Rice will perform many of these songs live at the K-LOVE-sponsored concert event in Nashville. Also, there will be a show called "A Night of Short Term Memories with Chris Rice", which will be hosted by K-LOVE's Jon Rivers and his wife Sherry.
