continued threats and acts of violence toward a Methodist Church located in north-central Sri Lanka bring concern to Christians in the nation. In spite of being located in a predominantly Buddhist city, the church has continued to grow. However, a mob led by local monks threatened to destroy any new construction that the church has planned. Voice of the Martyrs reports that so far no major acts of violence have been committed but threats of assault continue to be issued against the pastor and congregation.
