The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, PA introduced a "controller position" after a restructuring of the business office.
According to the officials in the Office of Communication the seminary went through ‘a restructuring after a staff retirement and increasing accounting demands due to grant related work and increased enrollment.’
The board of LTS agreed to discontinue Staff assistant and bursar and created two new positions, staff accountant and controller. Mrs. Jennifer Harget of Hanover, Penn., was named to the position of Controller for the seminary.
“Jennifer Harget is a welcome addition to our staff and will give the Seminary additional expertise in the crucial area of financial analysis and budget from her education and experience in various non-profit companies,” said Mr. Daniel Bringman, Vice President for Finance and Administration.
He added, “the new position will enable the seminary to respond to the challenge it faces with increased growth in enrollment and other programs.”
Harget began work late June, to continue to exercise good stewardship by deploying our resources to the best use possible.
