Muslim Scholars Call for Holy War in Case of Religious Violation

Muslim scholars have called for a holy war against the United States and Britain if the two countries send forces to Iraq in an attempt to overthrow Saddam Hussein. The scholars, wrapping up a two-day conference in Amman organized by Jordan's largest Muslim opposition party, also called for a boycott of all American and Israeli products and businesses. Under Islamic law, the scholars said, providing U.S. forces with "land, airspace, water or information" would be considered a religious violation.
