North American Baptist Seminary Approves New Master of Arts in Christian Leadership

North American Baptist Seminary will offer a new degree program, the Master of Arts in Christian Leadership (MACL), which provides the students with deeper understanding of Christian Theology and Scripture, starting the fall semester of 2004.

The Seminary’s officials believe that M.A. in Christian Leadership will provide practical leadership training for a new generation of leaders who seek to serve in various ministries of Christ in the church around the world.

MACL is a two-year program with two specializations: Congregational Ministries and Youth Ministry.

“The MACL is more of a practical than an academic degree,” said Ben Leslie, Academic Vice Presidents and Dean. She added that the program is focused on the practice of ministry and the character of the leader.

Leslie said, “Ideal for many, the new M.A. in Christian Leadership is especially well-suited for those who already find themselves serving in a position of Christian ministry.”

Students will be able to combine distance education and short-term courses to complete the program without disrupting current position of ministry.
