On November 6, Michael W. Smith’s The Celebration Tour featuring MercyMe took up the Portland’s Civic Center to celebrate 20 years of Smith’s career in Christian music and ten years of Positive Hits with WMSJ. The tour’s Portland performance hit WMSJ’s record books to be the first Civic Center sell-out. Smith’s tour pushed through Newark’s Convocation Center on Nov. 7, Norfolk’s Norfoke Scope Arena on Nov. 8, and Huntington’s Superstore Arena on Nov. 9 to end a memorable tour. Michael W. Smith will take up another tour this coming holiday season, which begins Nov. 28.
